Nyhavn in Copenhagen was built in the 17th century and is the city's most iconic waterfront canal and entertainment district. I got here early in the morning when there were barely any tourists around — it really did feel like something out of a fairy tale.
This area is famous for the brightly colored old houses lining both sides of the canal, the wooden boats moored along the water, and the many restaurants and cafés. The famous fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen once lived here too.
